One Year Strong

Ampernext-Australia
Australia’s Toughest Charging Site. Powered by Ampernext technology.

Our first public EV charging site in Australia has just marked one year of operation – and it’s still going strong.

Powered by our 30 kW DC-DC chargers, supported by on-site batteries and a grid connection, this site has proven itself through a year of storms, heatwaves, and challenging network coverage.

What makes it work:
– The famous 30 kW DC-DC fast chargers by Ampernext for public and fleet vehicles
– Battery integration for energy storage and peak shaving
– Seamless grid integration
– OCPP-enabled remote management, even in tough network conditions
– Credit and debit card payments for hassle-free access

This milestone shows what flexible, resilient technology can do for real-world EV infrastructure – even in the harshest Australian conditions.

A huge thanks to our partner Alpine Energy EV and the community for making this milestone possible and especially to Mark Wexler being the driving force for this challening project. Thank you for your passion Mark!

The future of resilient off-grid and thin-grid charging starts here!

When Ampernext was founded, the EV charging world looked very different.
The accepted path was clear: AC-coupled architectures, centralized systems, and the assumption that charging infrastructure would always depend on increasingly larger grid connections.
That was simply how things were done.
